With less than two months left of the spring semester, seniors are most likely looking for full-time jobs and other students may be on the hunt for part time jobs. The process of looking for a job can seem daunting at first and you may not even know where to start. For whatever kind of job position you’re looking for, here’s how you can begin the search.
1. If you’re a senior looking for a full-time job our career booklet, “Senior Job Search” is a great place to begin. In the booklet you will find helpful ways to keep your job search organized, tips on how to apply for jobs, the interviewing process, and so much more.
2.Check out our online resources or drop in to discuss your future plans with one of our PCAs so that we can walk you through various resources that we have to offer and can answer any questions for you.
3. The upcoming Summer Job/Internship Fair on March 25 here on campus will provide students who are looking primarily for part-time jobs or internships the chance to meet in person with hiring employers.
4. Career Development’s job board is also a great resource for students to check out. On this website you can find full time jobs, part time jobs, and internships. Find out more about Crusader Careers here.
5. Last but not least, don’t wait until the last minute to get your resume looked over when you’re ready to apply for a job. Resumes, and cover letters, are crucial to getting the job and both should be free of errors and provide a great representation of who you are!
